In the course of a regular day, it's a rare instance that you'll find me not doing something concomitant to watches. I'm either preparing for my next Forbes write-up, helping a friend track down that "perfect" watch, negotiating a deal with an overseas watch dealer (using my Italian to the best of my ability), or reading through past auction catalogues. Though when this isn't all happening, and when I'm not in school, I enjoy delving into the world of bespoke tailoring, classic sports cars, and vintage guitars.
The act of donning a wristwatch on the outside of your cuff, yet pertaining to horology, tends to be bothersome to certain watch guys while enticing to others. In my opinion, it's pretty cool. This fad was started by the illustrious Italian businessman, Gianni Agnelli. Angelli, apart from being a major Fiat shareholder, has been an icon in Italian fashion for decades. Still, years after his passing, many embrace his timeless style. For example, unbuttoning a button-down collar, and leaving surgeons cuffs (on a men's sports coat, blazer, suit jacket, et cetera) unbuttoned.
Would you wear your watch atop your cuff, or would you rather slip that timekeeping instrument hidden under your cuff? It's your call....
